JMC Conventional Handle with JMC Sampling Tube

The JMC Conventional Handle makes plow layer sampling in cultivated fields a snap. It fits a variety of soil sampling tubes. Each tube features a self-sharpening tip that outlasts common replaceable tips eight to one and pulls consistently good cores.

Please Note: The JMC Conventional Handle is designed for sampling soft soils only.
      Do not use a mallet on this handle!

We have 4 kinds of tubes for this option.
Here are the first three:

  Wet Sampling Tubes.
Work best in soft, moist soils.
Core diameter is 0.688 inches.
  Dry Sampling Tubes.
Work best in hard, dry soils.
Core diameter is 0.75 inches.
(If you just want one tube, get one of these,)
  Ag Consultant's Sampling Tube
Same tip design as the Dry Tubes.
Core diameter is 0.56 inches.

  • All tubes feature hardened cutting tips, DOM high strength steel, and a protective electroless nickel-plated finish.
  • Handle also compatible with the JMC Large Diameter Sampling Tubes.
  • Optional JMC Special Cleaner rapidly removes soil core and prepares tube for next sample.
  • Strong, lightweight, nickel-plated, steel tubing protects against rust and wear.

The fourth kind of tube we referred to earlier is our JMC Zero Contamination Tube. The JMC Zero Contamination Tube gathers undisturbed soil samples encased in removeable PETG Copolyester liners.

    Features:
  • Tube isolates sample from surrounding soil while being lifted out of the ground.
  • Vinyl caps seal sample inside liner during transit to your lab.
  • Samples measure 0.8 inches in diameter.
  • Tubes available in 12 or 18 inch lengths.
  • Strong, lightweight, nickel-plated steel tubing resists rust and wear.

  • Stainless Steel liners also available. (See related product list below.)

  • 1 – JMC Zero Contamination Sampling Tube
  • 15 – PETG Copolyester Liners
  • 15 – Black vinyl caps

  • 1 – Pull pin (quickest method for unloading samples)
  • 1 – Straight pin (for sampling deeper than length of tube with extensions)
