JMC Backsaver N-2 Handle with Special Cleaner and JMC Concentric Sampling Tube

Don't risk serious injury to your back, hands, or wrists. Easily pull undisturbed, 2 inch diameter soil samples encased in removeable PETG Copolyester liners from the first 6 inches of topsoil. An optional metal casing remains in the ground as the sampling tube is withdrawn. If you like, an additional tube, like our JMC Zero Contamination Tube, can sample below the metal casing through the 2 by 6-inch cavity with minimal cross strata contamination. Ultra-sensitive soil dissipation studies are a breeze with this equipment!

Simply step down on the footpedal to plant your sampling tube. Then, grab the hand grip (now near waist level) and use your legs to lift the sampler out of the ground. Remove the plastic liner containing your sample. Cap both ends with the supplied caps. Reload the sampling tube with an empty liner and you’re ready to sample again.

  • Tube isolates sample from surrounding soil while being lifted out of the ground.
  • Vinyl caps seal sample inside liner during transit to your lab.
  • Samples measure 2 inches in diameter by 6 inches long.
  • Foot pedal offers extra leverage for penetrating hard ground.
  • Strong, lightweight, nickel-plated steel tubing resists rust and wear.
  • Casing can be retrieved from ground and reused indefinitely.
