JMC Backsaver N-2 Handle with Special Cleaner and JMC Sampling Tube

Don't risk serious injury to your back, hands, or wrists. Pull soil samples easily with our JMC Backsaver N-2 Handle. Your best option for fast "plow layer" (12 to 18 inches) sampling.

Simply step down on the footpedal to plant your sampling tube. Next, bend your knees slightly and grab the hand grip (now near waist level). Then, straighten your legs to lift the sampler out of the ground. Clean your tube quickly with the JMC Special Cleaner held in a leather pouch on your belt and you are ready to go again.

Our JMC Backsaver N-2 Handle fits a variety of soil sampling tubes. Each tube features a self-sharpening tip that outlasts common replaceable tips eight to one and pulls consistently good cores.

We have 3 kinds of tubes for this option:


Wet Sampling Tubes.
   •Work best in soft, moist soils.
   •Core diameter is 0.688 inches.
   •12, 15, and 18 inch lengths available*
 
Dry Sampling Tubes.
   •Work best in hard, dry soils.
   • (If you just want one tube, get one of these,)
   •Core diameter is 0.75 inches.
   •12, 15, and 18 inch lengths available*
 
Ag Consultant's Sampling Tube
   •Same tip design as the Dry  Tubes.
   •Core diameter is 0.56 inches.
   •12 and 18 inch lengths available*

*Length measurements describe overall length of sampling tube. Actual sample obtained is 3 inches shorter: An 18 inch sampling tube captures a 15 inch sample.

Note: While it is possible to add extensions to this handle, we recommend that you consider our JMC Backsaver Handle for those applications that require samples deeper than the length of your sampling tube. Click on the link in the Related Products list below for more information.
